How will you cover The Blue Mile?

It’s just one month to go till swimmers, kayakers, sailors, and walkers converge on Plymouth for the first ever Blue Mile challenge. Run by Sport Environment, the event is open to everyone. Participants are invited to complete a mile in, on, or next to the water to raise vital support and money for World Wildlife Fund UK, the world’s leading conservation body.

WWF hope that the event, which is tagged as the Race for the Environment, will be the first of many in waterfront cities around the UK. “Our aim is to create the UK’s most inclusive water-based mass-participation event,” says Conrad Humphreys, CEO of Sport Environment. ”We look forward to the inaugural event on 3 July and to developing many more of these events nationwide to create an annual phenomenon which is fun to participate in whilst helping to raise vital support and money for the world’s leading conservation organisation.” .

If you are considering swimming The Blue Mile – surely the only way to travel through the water  – you will be delighted to learn that the event is sponsored by Aqua Sphere. They are supplying swimmers with branded swimming caps and assorted winners’ prizes.
